The Economic Revitalization of KP and Newly Merged Areas project has helped crate and restore more than 11,600 jobs by providing 2,298 matching grants worth 2 billion PKR($11.2 million) to the SMEs across Khyber Pakhtunkwa and newly merged areas. Moreover, the Project implementation entities have worked towards helping the KP province realize its tourism potential. The project has contributed towards building the capacity of tourism authorities in Galliyat, Kaghan, and Kalem through provision of solid waste management equipment such as garbage compactors, dumper trucks, and dustbins; traffic counting system, road and snow clearing machinery; and tourist carts for Galliyat. It has also sponsored a tourism sector analysis for Kalam, Kumrat, Naran and Galliyat. The projectis also active in promoting tourism in KP through publishing of V-logs on Buddist Heritage, Kumrat (Dir), Kalash and Broghil Lake (Chitral).
